Please review attached legal documentation regarding a lawsuit which was filed in 2023 on behalf of former Plaintiffs’ Lorraine Pratt, Melanie Long individually and RPCA homeowners, by their legal counsel Paul Leodori. The lawsuit was filed based on previous RPCA administration neglecting to hold proper elections. As a result of lawsuit, Plaintiffs’ Mrs. Pratt and Ms. Long’s verified complaint against RPCA was dismissed without prejudice around March 2024. RPCA consent order was issued demanding that RPCA pay plaintiffs’ counsel Paul Leodori in the amount of $37,028.32 payable by check. RPCA was promised by Paul Leodori, if we choose to hire his firm to represent RPCA, the final billing would be cut by $20,000.00. RPCA has paid out the full amount $37,028.32 to Paul’s firm.
Recent update: RPCA Secretary/Treasurer made a blindsided motion to remove current RPCA legal counsel Michael Simone during previous board meeting on May 15th, 2024. One board member made a motion to revisit blindsided motion and another member seconded his motion. RPCA Secretary/Treasurer and several other board members have signed retainer for Paul Leodori to represent RPCA, without acknowledging RPCA Vice President (Acting President) . Therefore RPCA board will revisit original motion to remove Michael and take a final vote during our upcoming board meeting on June 19th, 2024. Please come out and join us for this important meeting. RPCA board members will go over a lot of important updates.
